Susan Stockton’s career is rooted in a blend of experience, resilience, and dedication. Currently, she serves as Office Manager at Ascend Wealth Management, where she brings a wealth of knowledge to support clients and the firm’s mission. In addition, she is the Marketing Director for Home Instead, where she advocates for quality in-home care for seniors.
Susan’s journey in the financial world began in the late 1980s, working on the trading desk as a clearing agent for government bonds. At that time, she held her Series 7 license and gained hands-on experience alongside her father, a Principal at Bryan Worley and Associates, a bond house known for servicing institutional and large private investors. Her early career was defined by the dedication and values her father instilled in her, and it was this foundation that ultimately inspired the creation of Ascend Wealth Management in 2007. His motto, "Live Life Large," continues to guide her approach to life and work.
Community Involvement
Susan’s commitment to her community is seen in her active roles as a past president of the Mountain Home Rotary Club, a current member of the Mountain Home City Council, and a member of the Board of Governors for Arkansas State University Mountain Home.
Beyond her professional life, Susan embraces health, fitness, and the outdoors, spending time on the family farm in Hardy, where she and her husband, Mike, work to improve wildlife habitats. They enjoy canoeing, camping, and spending time with their sons, Dalton and Lawson.
For Susan, living large means embracing life fully, creating connections, and celebrating life’s imperfections, which, in her words, “make for the best stories.”
